Kish is a 91.5-square-kilometre resort island in the Persian Gulf. It is part of the Hormozgān Province of Iran.
I didn't plan to go here I swear but if you're on a visit visa and found a job in UAE you will experience this!. You will have to exit until your employment visa is ready. I am so lucky that the company hired me processed it before they let me exit to Kish.
Kish International Airport!
The moment you will get down on the plane, you will need to ride a shuttle going here (funny because it's just a few steps away, no need to ride a shuttle). Before you enter there will be a dressing room for ladies where you can get the Abaya (it's like a graduation gown, i'll show you later) and you have to bring your own scarf to cover your hair and for men you are not allowed to wear shorts. Only two immigration officer was there to stamp your passport so the line was very long. After that long line there is a table just before the door and the person there will take your passport (they said before you can't choose which hotel).
Hearing so much about this place makes me uncomfortable so their advice is not to go out alone. Upon checking in at Farabi Hotel they will collect a deposit of 100AED and they will keep your passport but the rate per night there is 40AED and if you will just stay there for over night they will refund the some of your money deducting the overnight stay. Free breakfast and use of blanket which you can get near the guard house. I went out to find a computer shop to at least inform the office that I am here and keep on asking them about my visa and they said it's for printing already. I went back to the unit, it has 2 rooms inside and a bathroom, 1 room consists of 4 bed and on the living room they put another 4 beds and that makes 12 beds in 1 unit. I can see how hard their life there, some of them are staying there for almost 1 month. Different stories, different people that you have to deal with. Some lose hope some still fighting and they believe that one day they will leave that place and be back in the Philippines or in UAE. They asked me what the company told me so I said I will just spend overnight and they laugh they said they heard that from their employer but days, weeks and months passed but they are still here. It's depressing really to be here.

I don't have plans to go out as well but my room mates will all go out to eat so I guess I don't have choice but to go with them. From the hotel you will walk like 15-20 minutes to reach the mall and the supermarket where you can buy from clothing to toiletries.
What's nice in this place? their money your 5 dirhams is like thousands to them already. And most of the things there are cheaper than here in U.A.E.
They said the moment you reach your place in U.A.E. you have to wash everything including what you are wearing because there's a lot of bed bugs there!.
If you will ask me if I will ever come back there again. Maybe if I am with my boyfriend or friends to experience the beach because they said beaches here is beautiful and you can catch fish and crabs. But I'd rather go to other places where I feel safe.
